MSGreenTec® Filesharing
Access files on your local network (LAN) directly from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central – even though Business Central in the cloud cannot reach into your LAN. A Windows service in your network handles the file operations and uses Business Central as a mailbox. Users pick files from released LAN folders and store them in Business Central with an expiry date, or send a Business Central file into the LAN.
Features
Get a file from the LAN
Browse released LAN folders, preview PDFs and images, select one or several files and store them in Business Central.
Send a file to the LAN
Send a stored file or a file from your device to a released LAN folder – existing files are never overwritten.
Expiry and cleanup
Stored files carry an expiry date; retention policies and a job queue entry clean up automatically.
Agents and root folders
See at a glance which service is online and which LAN folders are available. Administrators can block an agent.
Safe by design
File extension whitelist, a fixed block list, path checks and size limits – enforced in Business Central and in the service.
Permissions
Three permission sets for users, administrators and the service – least privilege, verified by tests.
Windows service
Installation scripts, Microsoft Entra app, certificate, configuration and troubleshooting. OnPrem modes included.
API and events for developers
A public facade and four events let you pick files in your own extensions and attach them to any record.
Troubleshooting
Agent offline, timeout, extension not allowed – causes and remedies.
