Integration
MSGreenTec® Licensing is a prerequisite for running all other MSGreenTec Business Central Extensions. This page describes how licensing works and what you need to know as a customer.
How It Works
The Licensing app communicates with the MSGreenTec servers via an HTTPS-encrypted connection. The following data is transmitted:
- A hashed identifier (SHA256 one-way hash) – the original data cannot be reconstructed from it
- The module name of the license being verified
- A timestamp of the license check
No business data, customer data, or other sensitive information is transmitted.
Activating Your License
License activation does not happen automatically. To activate your MSGreenTec license, follow these steps:
- Install the MSGreenTec® Licensing app in your Business Central environment
- Contact MSGreenTec to activate your license:

- Via email or phone (see Contact)
- After activation by MSGreenTec, the license status is synchronized automatically
Important: Without active activation by MSGreenTec, no licensed modules can be used. Please contact us directly to activate your license.
Dependency for Other MSGreenTec Apps
All MSGreenTec Business Central Extensions require the Licensing app as a prerequisite. The Licensing app must therefore always be installed and active before other MSGreenTec apps can be used.
When installing a MSGreenTec app (e.g. BC2Shopware), the dependency is resolved automatically – however, the Licensing app must already be installed.
Data Privacy
- The identifier is generated as a SHA256 hash – a one-way process from which the original data cannot be recovered
- In addition to the hash, only the module name and a timestamp are transmitted
- No transmission of business data, customer data, or other sensitive information
- All communication is via HTTPS with the server
